11/18/15 – Salvation and glory and power belong to our God

Published: Wednesday, 18 November 2015 Written by Carlton L. Arnold

“Hallelujah!  For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!”  Revelation 19:6-7

What an uplifting verse to start every day of your life!  A little verse like the one above has so much for us as children of the Most High and True Living God.  The background of the verse occurs during the End Times when God defeats all of the worldly philosophies of wealth, luxury, and selfishness.   Bible verses like this one encourage you to proclaim that your God Almighty reigns.  This means that God is sovereign over everything that you can or cannot imagine.

Recognizing God’s sovereignty over your life has a major impact on how much trust you place in God.  The idea that there is a God who has total and complete control over your life should be an accepted fact.  At the same time, a totally sovereign God honors your free will.  He will allow you to do whatever you decide to do about the things concerning your life.  At the same time, God’s plans and His purposes will be done.  He is sovereign.

From a total world point of view, God is in control of all the nations of the earth.  He actually makes it possible for those who are government leaders to have leadership positions.  When He begins the process of bringing all things to an end, God will take care of His own True Believers by taking them out of the world and into heaven.

For those people who remain, God will show Himself through several judgments.  This will validate His authority to reign over all the nations. There will be no doubt that He is Almighty God, sovereign over everything. Everyone will continue to have the opportunity to accept God’s revelation.  Many will become True Believers during this time.  It may be the greatest revival in the history of mankind. He will judge those who do not accept His revelations.  All of His judgments will be holy and just.  People will stand before Him with no excuse to offer Him on why they did not recognize Him, praise Him, or give Him the glory.

Therefore, let us rejoice and be glad!  As a child of God, practice giving God the glory for everything that has happened in your life.  If you will take the time to write down instances in your life where you think God was at work, you will begin to see more clearly that He is intimately involved with your life.  You will become more aware of God’s presence.  You will be able to see God’s purpose for why things happen the way they do.  Therefore let us rejoice and be glad!
